Why Member Management Matters in Total Battle
A Total Battle clan can have up to 100 members. Knowing who's contributing and who's freeloading is essential for:
- Promotion decisions: Identify top performers for Superior/Officer roles
- Recruitment priorities: Know when you have inactive slots to fill
- Fair scoring: Adjust coefficients for new members in trial periods
- Data quality: Merge OCR duplicates to avoid split statistics
Accessing the Members Page
Navigate to Dashboard β Members from the sidebar, or use the direct link from the Top Players widget.
Members Overview KPIs
Six summary cards provide instant insights into your Total Battle roster:
| KPI | What It Measures | Leadership Value |
|---|---|---|
| Active Members | Players with recent activity | Your "real" clan size |
| New (7d) | Members with first chest in last 7 days | Recruitment success indicator |
| Inactive (30d) | No activity for 30+ days | Cleanup candidates |
| Chests (7d) | Total chests from all members | Overall clan productivity |
| Score (7d) | Total weighted score | Values difficult content (Citadels > Crypts) |
| Avg Consistency | Average % of days with activity | Reliability metric |
Leadership Insight: A high "Active Members" count with low "Avg Consistency" means you have many players who log in sporadically. Consider setting minimum activity requirements.
Understanding the Members Table
The main table displays every player who has ever contributed a chest:
| Column | What It Shows | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Total Battle in-game name | Click to view full profile |
| Status | Active (green) or Inactive (gray) | Filter to focus on relevant players |
| Chests (7d) | Chests captured in last 7 days | Quick activity indicator |
| Score (7d) | Weighted points last 7 days | Values Citadels/Events higher |
| Consistency | % of days with activity (bar) | Reliable vs. sporadic players |
| Categories | Color dots showing activity types | At-a-glance playstyle view |
| Actions | Edit, Share, Deactivate buttons | Management options |
Category Indicators Explained
The colored dots show which Total Battle activities a player engages in:
| Color | Category | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| π΅ Blue | Crypts | Runs solo dungeons regularly |
| π’ Green | Clan | Contributes to Clan War/Wealth |
| π‘ Amber | Citadels | Participates in Citadel raids |
| π΄ Red | Monsters | Active in monster hunt events |
| π£ Purple | Events | Engages in Rise of Ancients, etc. |
Strategic Tip: A player with only π΅ (Crypts) but no π’ (Clan) is playing solo content without contributing to clan objectives. They may need encouragement to join Clan Wars.
Sorting Options
Click column headers to sort:
- Name: Alphabetical (A-Z, Z-A)
- Chests: Most active to least (or reverse)
- Score: Top performers first (or reverse)
- Consistency: Most reliable players first
Filtering Options
Use the toolbar to narrow your view:
| Filter | Options | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Search | Type any name | Find specific players quickly |
| Status | All / Active / Inactive | Focus on current roster or cleanup |
| Sort By | Activity, Score, Chests, Consistency, Name | Different analysis perspectives |
Member Profile Deep Dive
Click any player's name to view their comprehensive profile:
Profile Components
| Section | What It Shows | Strategic Value |
|---|---|---|
| Performance KPIs | 7d and 30d averages | Trend analysis (improving or declining?) |
| Activity Chart | Timeline of chest captures | Visual pattern recognition |
| Category Breakdown | Pie chart of chest sources | Understand their playstyle |
| Chest History | Searchable table of all chests | Detailed contribution record |
| Consistency Heatmap | GitHub-style activity calendar | Identify reliable days/times |
Reading the Consistency Heatmap
The heatmap shows activity intensity over time:
- Dark green squares: High activity days
- Light green squares: Some activity
- Empty squares: No chests captured
Pro Tip: If a player shows consistent activity Monday-Friday but empty weekends, they're likely a "work break" player. Expect lower contributions during clan weekend events.
Member Actions
Edit Member

Fair Play Note: Communicate coefficient changes to affected members. Transparency builds trust.
Deactivate Member
When a player leaves your Total Battle clan:
- Find them in the Members table
- Click their row, then Deactivate
- Confirm the action
What happens:
- β All historical data preserved
- β Removed from active counts and KPIs
- β Stops appearing in targets/at-risk lists
- β Can be reactivated if they return
Best Practice: Deactivate departed members within 24-48 hours to keep your active roster accurate.
Delete Member
Remove a member entirely (rare action):
- Find the member
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
Important: You can only delete members with zero chests. This prevents accidental data loss. For members with contributions, use Deactivate instead.
Handling OCR Duplicates
The Total Battle Chests Tracker uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to read player names from screenshots. Sometimes this creates duplicates:
- "JohnDoe" and "JohnD0e" (zero vs. O)
- "PlayerName" and "Player Name" (space differences)
- "MaryJane" and "MaryJan3" (3 vs. e)
Merge Duplicates Process
- Navigate to Members page
- Click Merge Duplicates in the toolbar
- TB Clan Tools identifies potential matches using fuzzy matching
- Review each pair:
- Select the correct name (usually the one with more chests)
- The other name will merge into it
- Click Merge Selected
Result: All chests from both entries consolidate under the correct name.
Pro Tip: Check for duplicates weekly, especially after events when many chests are captured and OCR errors spike.
Sharing Member Profiles
Create a public link to show a player their own statistics:
- Click the Share icon on any member row
- Copy the generated link
- Send to the member via game chat or Discord
Public profile shows:
- β Performance KPIs
- β Activity charts
- β Category breakdown
- β Chest history
- β Edit capabilities
- β Other members' data
Motivation Tip: Share profiles with your Top 10 weekly β public recognition drives engagement.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple members using checkboxes for batch operations:
| Action | What It Does | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Activate Selected | Set multiple to Active | Re-enable returning players |
| Deactivate Selected | Set multiple to Inactive | Batch cleanup after roster changes |
| Export CSV | Download member data | External analysis, alliance reports |
Tips for Total Battle Roster Management
Weekly Maintenance Checklist
- β Check for new duplicate entries
- β Review "Inactive (30d)" list for cleanup
- β Verify new recruits are appearing correctly
- β Spot-check category distributions
Handling Common Situations
| Situation | Recommended Action |
|---|---|
| Player left the clan | Deactivate immediately |
| Player changed in-game name | Edit their name in TB Clan Tools |
| Two entries for same player | Use Merge Duplicates |

Data Quality Best Practices
- Fix OCR errors promptly β Wrong names cause confusion
- Don't delete, deactivate β Historical data is valuable
- Use consistent naming β If you correct a name, use the exact in-game format
